Improving your technique can add a few instant yards to your kick but the majority of yards come from your legs, the stronger they are the farther the ball will fly. It’s not about how much weight you can squat though, if that was the case then wouldn’t linemen be able to nail 60 yard field goals?  The real secret to kicking far is leg speed. Since Force = Mass x Acceleration then the faster your leg swings the greater the force hitting the football is, resulting in a farther kick. So how do I increase my leg speed?

By strengthening your fast twitch muscles through exercises.
