One of the most simple drills to do, the Dry Run Drill can be done almost anywhere and is a great way to warm up.

The Idea: Practice the entire kicking motion without using the football.

  1. Start in your pre kick position
  2. Take your approach steps
  3. Plant your foot and kick the imaginary football

You can use this drill as a warm up by repeating it about 10 times before you kick a football.

Tips For This Drill:
  • pick a spot on the ground to mark where the football would be
  • treat it as a warm up, try not to go all out on the first one or you may injure yourself
When you feel ready you can move on to other drills like the No Step Drill
